Community Education Group (CEG) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization working to eliminate disparities in health outcomes and improve public health in disadvantaged populations and under-served communities. We accomplish this by conducting research, training community health workers, educating and testing people who are hard to reach or at risk, sharing our expertise through national networks and local capacity building efforts, and advocating for practical and effective health policies that lead to social change.
Us Helping Us People Into Living
Established in 1985, Us Helping Us began as a group of volunteers that provided holistic health information for people living with AIDS. The strategy was to teach natural holistic techniques – involving the body, mind, and spirit – for health maintenance. As it exists today, Us Helping Us is an experienced CBO with two locations in the greater Washington, DC area, including a certified, freestanding mental health clinic, and works tirelessly to achieve health equity for under served and marginalized populations in the greater Washington, DC area.
